Company History
General Biologicals Corporation (GBC) was established in May 1984. This Hi-tech Biological manufacturing corporation contributes greatly to the local government need to perform the ten-year program of the Hepatitis B Prevention. A 36,000 square feet building is located at the Science-Based Industrial Park, Hsin Chu , Taiwan . Another factory located at Tianjin , China was established in 1995. Both factories are operated per GMP standard for manufacturing diagnostic kits.
GBC was founded by Dr. C.M. Ling, a well known expert on Hepatitis diagnostics and is charged by Chairman Mr. T.C. Lin. GBC has developed complete product line including Hepatitis, Anti-HIV, Anti-HTLV, Tumor Markers, Cardiac Marker and Infectious Diseases diagnostic kits etc, with RIA, EIA and PCR methods, Bead, Microplate, and Rapid Test formats. All the products meet the international standards and license approved by many countries including Germany , Japan , Italy and Taiwan , etc. The main features of the products are Format Diversity, High Accuracy, Flexible Applications, User Friendly and Time Saving procedure. The products have been widely used in blood banks, hospitals, clinical laboratories and physicians' offices and sold with her own brand more than 40 countries all over the world.
For the past decade, GBC is a professional diagnostic reagent manufacturer with well organized internal control from R&D, Manufacturing, QC to Marketing. Its dedicated employees have applied the cutting-edge sciences in biotechnology such as hybridoma techniques, genetic engineering, protein purification and peptide synthesis to develop and manufacture immunodiagnostic reagents to meet the international standards.
The above mentioned new generation diagnostic platform and kits and be aimed to serve not only screening which covered by existing GBC products line but also to focus on quantitative, confirmation, prognosis, monitoring and therapy for Disease Management.
GBC will continue to develop and manufacture new and state-of-art in vitro diagnostic reagents using the advance genomics and proteomics technique. GBC will also utilize the local strength integrating the electronics and biotech resources to get actively involved in the point of care market and continue to enhance its competence.
